Teams do not have to play down players if their opponent does not have enough players. It is coaches’ discretion if they wish to play down. So, you can either play your full formation vs. opponent’s maximum including one sub or match their maximum including 1 sub. Example: U14 one team has 12 player and other has 6 players. You can either play 5v5 or 9v5 coaches’ choice. Each team must always have at least 1 substitute. Minimum play is 5v5. If your team doesn’t have a minimum of 6 players your team must forfeit. NO LENDING PLAYERS DURING TOURNAMENT.
There will be a maximum goal differential of 5 for each game in tournament play. Tie breakers: If 2 teams finish the group stage tied in record and goal differential, they will go to a penalty shoot out to determine the winner. For the final in each age bracket there will be a 15-minute overtime period. (No golden goal) If at the end of the overtime period the score is still tied, the teams will take penalty kicks to determine the winner.
Points as follows (10 point system):
Win = 6 Points
Tie = 3 Points
Loss = 0 Points
Goals = 1 point per goal max of 3 (maximum of 5 points towards differential)
Shutout = 1 Point
